No in a good way. I mean the picture looks somewhat cool. I know its suppose to be an emotional shot, but the kid looks like a person whose been through some sort of training routine. It looks cool to me

:-)

I misunderstood then. I always thought she had some harsh feelings towards the stangers.

what do you mean harsh feelings? Did they treat her wrongly or she doesn't wnat to have her picture taken?

Just the opposite, I guess. She wanted to pose, then she looked quite angrily at the camera. Maybe she thought that was what was expected from her while posing, I don't know.

I couldn't get what you've meant. :-)

Is it the picture, the use of the picture in a different format or the sentence "Credit to the original photo source" that bothered you?

Regards,

Suppi

PS: This is a girl.

excuse my mistake, i assumed the girl was a boy.
and to answer your question, it's the fact that a picture of a random girl is put on the internet for display and viewing worldwide. unless if the girl permitted you to do so, i don't think what you did was a good thing.

No need for excuses. Most of people think she looks like a boy.

As for the display of a random model: that's the dilemma of portrait photographers, I think. And internet seems to have added new complications to the issue.

But, unless you take someone's picture without his-her consent, I don't see why you shouldn't use the shot for sharing with others.

Suppi

well, if you didn't tell the girl that it would be publicized, that wouldn't be a good thing.

:-)

I respect your point of view. I agree that taking other people's pictures is a controversial subject. People try to come up with certain codes of ethics:

Nonetheless, when I took this picture, I didn't have memberships to web sites, even if I had them and I did intend to share them with others, I couldn't possible communicate her these as there were no common language.

This should have got the DD not the fanart stencil work of it.

Captivating shot, the anger and sadness in the boys face is very clear.

Thank you very much for your kind words.

I guess I have to become member of many other groups to get attention.

anyway, I'm glad the stencil work aroused interest in the shot. :-)
